About Ross Beerman

Ross Beerman is Managing Director and Co-Founder of AllLife. Ross has a BSc (Mech Eng) and an MBA from the University Of Cape Town (UCT). He has worked both locally and internationally in the finance and business sector. Ross worked in Corporate Finance for Legg Mason Wood Walker (a US investment bank) and came back to South Africa to join Theta Group Limited in 1998 as Finance Executive. He participated in the major corporate finance transactions that resulted in the current form of African Bank Investments Limited (“ABIL”). In 2002, in conjunction with ABIL, he founded Theta Specialised Finance (Pty) Ltd which he exited at the end of 2003.

Description:  

AllLife designs, distributes and administers life insurance products that have real impact on people's lives. The Company focuses on providing products to clients who have historically been denied access to life insurance products. AllLife provides affordable life cover for individuals living with HIV or diabetes who commit to follow an appropriate health monitoring and treatment program. AllLife’s clients living with HIV have had limited or no access to life insurance products in the past. There are no similar products available for people living with HIV and life insurance is a key requirement to access other financial service products. AllLife enable individuals living with HIV to access other financial services products and hence to participate more fully in the economy at large.


Social Impact:  

AllLife has interacted with more than 100,000 people, educating them about HIV and its treatment. The Company has post-test counseled in excess of 4,000 people, has had more than 10,000 clients through its business and has directly had a financial impact on more than 50,000 people affected by HIV.
