Anthony is President of International Health Partners. Anthony worked in banking for 25 years, in the UK and abroad, ending as Finance Director of a number of HSBC's businesses. He spent 10 years working in Government, firstly in the DTI, and then heading up English Partnerships. In 1999 Anthony became founding CEO of the South East England Development Agency. A former cubs leader, Anthony was also churchwarden for six years. His interests include working on his lathe, gardening, athletics, music and modern architecture. He is married to Ruth and they have three children and eight grandchildren.

Description:  IHP is the sole coordinator of donated resources (medicines, medical products and skills) to international medical charities, the WHO and Ministries of Health from the healthcare industry in the UK. It is also the only such body operating across Europe. Established as a charity, with HRH The Prince of Wales as its Patron, IHP is a partnership venture bringing together Government, NGOs, the healthcare industry and the medical community. IHP aims to bring humanitarian relief by coordinating a Europe-wide response to natural disasters and conflicts. It is also enabling sustainable improvements to be made to health systems by: improving services to mothers and children and building capacity and expertise across the medicine supply chain. The driving force behind IHP's mission is to harness the willingness of individuals and companies to work together with civil society to help address the mortality and suffering of women and children in the developing world.
Social Impact:  Through its membership of the Health + Hope Alliance with MAP in the USA and HPIC in Canada, IHP has country programs and access to offices in 12 developing world countries: Afghanistan, Bolivia, Cote d'Ivoire, Ecuador, The Gambia, Ghana, Honduras, Indonesia, Kenya, Pakistan, Uganda and Zimbabwe. IHP aims to improve access to healthcare to those excluded through poverty, conflict or disaster in the developing world. Since becoming operational in 2005, IHP which has now donated 15 million treatments to 500 projects in 86 countries. Over 170 companies have supported IHP as part of their commitment to Corporate Responsibility.
